They thought they needed more salespeople.

Their lead pipeline was actually prioritizing the wrong people.

Demonstration architecture. The scenario and records below are illustrative—not a client engagement or performance claim.

The opening question

The sales team was drowning in leads. Response times were slipping, good opportunities were being missed, and the obvious answer looked like more headcount.

So before adding another salesperson, I investigated one question:

Was sales out of capacity, or was capacity being spent on the wrong work?

More headcount could increase capacity. It would not fix the operating logic consuming that capacity.

THE 6-MINUTE WALKTHROUGH

See the broken queue, the diagnosis, the system logic, and the human safeguards.

Exhibit A

The queue
looked normal.

Until you looked at which leads were waiting, and which ones were getting attention first.

wait... why did Mike get touched before Sarah?

Sarah raised her hand after repeated commercial research. Mike downloaded an ebook. Mike got attention first.

What does this queue actually consider important?

And the answer was uncomfortable: it didn’t know.

Pinned evidence / 01–04

Before I automate
anything, I want
answers.

EVIDENCE 01

Arrival time was pretending to be importance.

Different people. Different commercial value. Same queue.

The queue had no opinion.
EVIDENCE 02

The rep’s brain was the qualification engine.

Company research, person research, CRM search, intent review, interpretation, routing, updates, then finally selling.

EVIDENCE 03

The useful data already existed.

Pricing visits, integration research, downloads, referrals, demos. The data was trying to say something.

EVIDENCE 04

The founder had become routing infrastructure.

“Is this one worth chasing?” was a judgment dependency disguised as a Slack message.

Why is the founder the router?

WE NEED ANOTHER SALESPERSON

Sales capacity was being wasted.

The wrong work was consuming the right people. The root constraint was qualification and prioritization before human attention.
Decision log

What I refused
to build.

A system design is not only what I chose. It is also what the evidence let me reject.

The clean system

Machines sort.
Humans sell.

The goal is not to remove sales from the workflow. It is to stop putting a salesperson at the beginning of every decision.

AWAITING LEAD EVIDENCE

Implementation proof

Don’t trust
the diagram.

Watch evidence enter, see the bounded decision, understand why it happened, and inspect what occurs when confidence breaks.

Proof assets are intentionally marked unavailable until Crissa supplies and approves them.

Measurement plan

The numbers come
after the baseline.

No invented conversion lift. The system is measured against the problem it was designed to solve.

01 / RESPONSE TIME

Do valuable opportunities receive attention faster?

02 / HUMAN LOAD

How much pre-selling work disappears?

03 / PIPELINE QUALITY

Does priority contain more relevant opportunities?

04 / FOUNDER LOAD

How often is the founder still the routing engine?

The bottom line

Same sales team. Smarter attention. Better pipeline.

Find the evidence → encode repeatable judgment → automate low-risk work → preserve human judgment → measure what changes.
CASE INTAKE

YOUR BUSINESS PROBABLY HAS ITS OWN VERSION OF THIS

WANT AN OWNER-MINDED OPERATOR INSIDE THE PROBLEM?

I’ll find what’s actually broken, decide what should be automated, and get the right system working.
